SNK is designing her first fashion editorial in collaboration with Ghyianni Ferraer using sustainable materials in Las Vegas, NV.

Branching from yoga to fashion, upcoming designer SNK collaborates on her first editorial with Ghyianni Ferraer. Gifted a designing set when she was a child, SNK is coming back to her roots and watering her profound love of fashion. SNK’s strong upbringing in her Thai culture is prominent in her style and vision.

SNK explains, “Everything is transitioning,” as the summer moves into fall; she discovers more of herself in the midst. “I found myself in a hyper-independent position, and I’m transitioning into a softer energy.”

SNK reveals that this collaboration has a balance of soft, flowy textures paring with bold, patterned colors. She wants people to feel proud to be a woman while feeling elegant in soft sitting silhouettes embracing the body’s curves. The editorial will have three models with all custom pieces that will exhibit SNK’s collaborated intentions.

Nancy Jo, the creative director, is helping with casting and set up at Calico Basin, Red Rock. SNK reiterates, “The themes and feelings are based around it.” The scenic atmosphere of tall willow grass and red rocks complement SNK’s picnic photoshoot as the models pose with dainty teacups. The shoot takes place at the end of September 2022 at the bottom equinox which symbolizes “balance, justice, harmony, and beauty as we move into Libra season,” says SNK.

The two collaborators began planning in early August. SNK’s inspiration comes from her memory of Thailand consisting of gold temples and monks wearing orange. On the other hand, Ferraer has an aesthetic of spring pastel colors and vintage cottage core. Although their styles are very contrasting, this collaboration welcomes both worlds to intertwine as one.

Together, both designers contributed mood boards and fabrics and decided what colors harmonize. When it was time for the big reveal, SNK explains, “The sketches looked similar, but it showed how aligned we were because we went home and got the same essence. I emphasize overcommunication, more feedback, and ideas because I’m adaptable.”

SNK’s passionately reinforces sustainable designs as she continues to create in the fashion industry. She wants to keep her collection handmade with no replicas to “keep the authenticity because slow fashion shows the effort of a team,” she says. Now available, SNK scrunchies are produced from remaining fabrics to support practicality in everyday life.

Since this is SNK’s very first collection, she reflects, “When I was little, I loved fashion and dressing up, but in my teens, I forgot how much I loved it. I allowed myself to step back and let the universe provide.” Her support system has been pushing her to focus on her craft by providing her with the tools necessary to succeed.

“The confidence comes as you have things to show,” SNK continues, “It's possible. You can be a designer.”
