LaMoon Café Now Transitioning into Restaurant

Updated: Oct 4, 2022

La Moon Cafe has expanded its hours while renovating the menu, specialty cocktail drinks, and jazzy atmosphere.

Thai and Japanese infusion La Moon is a family-owned business welcoming all food lovers worldwide to visit their restaurant in Las Vegas, NV. Their jazzy ambiance is immediately recognized by the lustrous white grand piano surrounded by vibrant green tropical plants. The restaurant opens at six p.m. inviting people to relax and unwind after a long day of work. The uplifting jazz swing music shifts to a jazz house for night owls. The menus are scannable helping reduce paper consumption while remaining contact-free. The windows surrounding the perimeter invite the setting sun and the low-lit candles ease the mind. The seating is cozy and intimateperfect for studying, date nights, or fellowships with friends!

Co-owner and GM Bon gets his inspiration from his wife. He states, “My wife wanted a hanging out place. There were a lot of steps to start the business, and we signed the contract 3 months before COVID-19.” The hardship of the global pandemic caused Bon, his wife, and his brother to work harder to keep the business thriving. They never quit.

Now that life is transitioning back to normal, LaMoon is expanding! They are incorporating more Japanese dishes into the menu with their signature Thai recipes. Additionally, they are extending their hours from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Along with coffee and tea, LaMoon now serves specialty cocktails, sake, and a variety of over 100 wine selections. Bon explains, “My family and I have wine tastings to find the perfect combinations with our food. My favorite is Riesling white wine and Italian red wine.”

One of their specialty cocktails is called, Namaste, a vodka yuzu. “It is nice, refreshing, sweet, sour, and something light,” Bon describes. He recommends pairing the drink with one of their small mini plates. The drink is decorated with a delicate yellow flower floating on top of a cloudy froth.

Another drink for spicy enthusiasts is the Chili Cha Cha. It’s a mix of spicy tequila swirled with tamarind puree. Bon encourages you to get a mild dish to balance out the heat from the boozy beverage.

Bon wants LaMoon to feel at home when customers walk in. “Just come and try,” Bon laughs.

LaMoon is located at 6125 Spring Mountain Rd. Las Vegas, NV 89146. Call (702) 778-8991 for dine-in, takeout, or delivery. Visit lamoonlv.com for the menu and more information.
